Jodie caught us by surprise today when she flashed her "blink" and told us that she got engage yesterday! OMFG! (and btw, the jodie here i mean is not my dog but one of the work girl)


And she's only like 20? or maybe younger? Seriously, she's just like a baby to us! OMFG! That's not the point, but it definately got us (Me, Kiran and Claire-mainly in our 20s) chatting. Hahaha. How THREE EIGHT i know! But, we started talking about how some get married at young age because they are religious or strict or anything that belong to the catergory "no sex before marriage"- Seriously, is there still people like that out there? And i thought the ang mo should be more open minded than us? But i guess i was wrong- well, some of them do look really conserative, or should i say simple? Like you know those girls starring in "the notebook" kinda girly girl?

Anyhow, this got me thinking of course! Well, as much as i want to get married as soon as possible- i seriously dont see myself commiting to it. At least that's how i feel for now- i'm not ready yet. I guess i'm at this point of my life that i'm enjoying my every bit of my new found independence. The earning power, spending power and my totally carefree and no string attached commitment to anyone or anything at all. Just thinking of/ for myself basically.


So, as much as i drooled for a blink on my finger too, dreaming and reality is 2 totally opposite thing! Just imagine thinking of the moolahs that you need to spend on your wedding, your house, your expenses and all the other craps that come along the way. Seriously, what financial stabilty do you have? Or what can you contribute to support the marriage, and we are talking about a lifetime here!


GRASP! This is definately a scary thought to me!!
